Impact by the Numbers
Throughout 2023 we supported our grassroots grantee partners to advance racially just policies and initiatives to provide all students an opportunity to learn through public education.
As a Black-led national public fund and movement-building organization, we seek to dramatically increase the capacity of community organizations primarily in three regions, Northeast, South, and West.
As a philanthropic intermediary, we pool and leverage funding to increase local parent and youth-led organizations’ effectiveness, results, and impact at a scale higher than any individual contribution would allow.
Note: As Schott’s fiscal year is July 1 to June 30, these figures reflect our grantmaking from January through June 2023 captured in our FY 2023 audited financials combined with unaudited grantmaking figures for July through December 2023.
