Here’s How We’re Supporting the Education Justice Movement in 2024 So Far

This year so far, we’ve been moving resources to support parent, youth, and community organizations defending and improving public schools, fighting for race and gender equity, and building a multi-racial democracy. We made $1,475,580 in grants from July through September — more than $3 million total in 2024 so far.

Many have gone to longtime Schott partners, like Grassroots Arkansas, Step Up Louisiana, and Education Justice Alliance. Others, like Honesty for Ohio Education and Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, were made as part of HEAL Together, our multi-partner organizing effort to defend public education across more than twenty states. (Learn about the incredible organizing work of CT Black and Brown Student Union and Step Up Louisiana in our grantee spotlight earlier this month.)

With your help, we can move even more resources to grassroots organizers on the front lines of the education justice movement.
