Roland Kennedy, Jr., is the Executive Director of the Executive Alliance, a national philanthropic initiative for boys and men of color. His work covers catalytic investments across three priority areas—campaigns, communications, and convenings. His career includes work in legislative government, corporate and private foundations, family offices, and national and international 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) grantmaking focused on democracy, economic mobility, education, and journalism and media.
Roland is board chair of Barbershop Books, Inc., a literacy and technology nonprofit, a board member of PEAK Grantmaking, and is on the advisory boards of Black Film Space, Bowie State University’s Philanthropy Initiative, and StreetWise Partners. Roland received his BA from Villanova University and MPA from the University of Pennsylvania.
