The Schott Foundation Welcomes Digna Scott as the new Senior Operations Director

Cambridge, MA, Nov. 7, 2008 – The Schott Foundation for Public Education has appointed Digna Scott as the Senior Operations Director. In this position, she will serve in a consultative capacity to expand Schott’s organizational operations and leverage the Foundation’s grantmaking capacity.

“We are thrilled to have Digna join our team as we continue to expand our staff and grantmaking. She brings outstanding experience and skills to Schott. With Digna’s help, we look forward to more robust and streamlined operations within our organization. Digna will also help us build on the success of Schott’s Advocacy Management Firm structure and increase the impact of our Opportunity to Learn philanthropic campaign,” said Dr. Jackson.

Ms. Scott’s professional experience includes serving as Manager at the MA Department of Revenue and IBM. She has also worked for the Marriott Corporation and Recruiting New Teachers.  She received an MBA with a concentration in Strategy and Business Analysis from Boston University. She is also a graduate of the Initiative for Diversity and Civic Leadership. She is the vice-president of the Lynn Hispanic Scholarship Fund and is actively involved in several social justice movements. Ms. Scott is fluent in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
