Key Staff Announcements at Schott
We are pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Woodward to Director of Education and Civic Engagement at the Schott Foundation.
In this expanded role, Woodward will lead the Foundation’s education and civic engagement portfolios, including the Opportunity to Learn (OTL) Network and HEAL Together. He will work closely with funders, external partners and grantees to cultivate, resource, and support high-impact campaigns that advance educational equity and strengthen a thriving multiracial democracy.
As Director, Woodward will lead manage and grow the Foundation’s education and civic engagement grantmaking and campaign strategies, and oversee relationships with key partners across the Foundation’s national footprint. This role also includes providing strategic leadership and oversight for grantee support, fiscally sponsored projects, and cross-foundation collaboration to ensure alignment with Schott’s vision and long-term priorities.
Woodward brings deep experience, strong relationships, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing the opportunity to learn and civic engagement for young people and communities.

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Precious Waldron-López to Program and Campaign Officer for Education and Civic Engagement at the Schott Foundation.
In this role, Waldron-López will lead grantmaking and campaign support efforts within the education and civic engagement portfolio, including the Opportunity to Learn Network and HEAL Together. She will work closely with grantees, partners, and external stakeholders to advance campaigns that strengthen education justice and support a thriving multiracial democracy.
Waldron-López has demonstrated strong leadership, deep subject-matter expertise, and a collaborative approach to advancing Schott’s mission. This promotion reflects their contributions and our confidence in her continued growth and leadership.

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Toan Hang as the new Director of Finance and Operations at the Schott Foundation.
In this critical leadership role, Hang will oversee the Foundation’s financial management, operations, human resources administration, information technology, and compliance, as well as provide oversight for Schott’s fiscally sponsored projects.
Hang brings valuable experience and expertise in nonprofit finance and operations, along with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach that will support Schott’s mission and growing impact.
