Dr. John Jackson, President & CEO of the Schott Foundation for Public Education, will speak tomorrow in Albany at the “First Things First 2012” speak out and demonstration. The event starts at 10:30am at the state capitol building.

New York state has seen three years of continuous cuts to education— last year’s was one of the worst cuts in the nation — and as a result its poorest districts are being hit hardest.

Organized by the Alliance for Quality Education, hundreds of parents, students, and community members from across the state will unite to demand that Governor Cuomo and the legislature restore the state’s cuts to education by making the wealthiest pay their fair share — New York must protect kids, not millionaires!
