Nayahra Resende is a Restorative/Transformative Justice practitioner, facilitator, youth worker, and educator. They are a queer, trans nonbinary, white Brazilian immigrant with mixed ancestry who has been living in Boston for the last 25 years. Nayahra has been working in schools for the past 6 years, supporting youth and their families as they navigate the confusing and oftentimes, harmful public education system. Their work is centered around student voice and leadership and the use of the RJ/TJ circle processes to decentralize power, to navigate harm, and to build community. Nayahra is currently working as the Restorative Justice Specialist at Road to Success, an alternative education program within Charlestown High serving a high-needs student population.
