Framing the Future: Addressing Pre-K in ESEA

As federal lawmakers consider reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, this brief makes the argument for a robust early education component in the effort to provide high-quality programs in the fight for equal educational opportunities for all children. The brief was published by the Pre-K Coalition, a collaboration of the American Association of School Administrators, American Federation of Teachers, Council of Chief State School Officers, National Association of Elementary School Principals, National Association of State Boards of Education, National Education Association, and the National School Boards Association formed to develop consensus on pre-kindergarten policy goals.
