New York's 50 Most Underfunded School Districts

In 2007, New York State adopted (but failed to implement) a Foundation Aid Formula that would have ensured equitable educational resources in districts across the state. A report from the Alliance for Quality Education (AQE) shows the districts with the largest gaps between what they need in state funding aid and what the state is actually providing.

"New York's 50 Most Underfunded School Districts" is a testament to the ingrained inequities in our nation's schools and how governments can, but too often don't, intervene to give every student the same opportunity of a high quality education.
