Bertis Downs & Leah Austin to Be Honored as Champions of Public Education
Some of Atlanta’s Most Talented Public School Students will Perform

ATLANTA, GA — Public school students from across the Greater Atlanta area will be performing on Thursday, April 26 at “#PublicSchoolGrad: Greater Atlanta Arts Showcase” at The Gathering Spot.

The Schott Foundation, in partnership with 100 Black Men of America and the Southern Education Foundation, is proud to highlight these talented students who remind us all that our public school system has and continues to foster the most brilliant and creative minds in the world.

Too often, however, our schools are not given the resources to foster our children's artistic and musical potential. That is why we are proud to celebrate R.E.M. manager, attorney and advocate Bertis Downs and Southern Education Foundation Vice President Leah Austin as Champions of Public Education—people who commit to building the school systems that can provide all children an opportunity to learn.

Award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Keri Hilson will be Mistress of Ceremonies, and singer and actress Cheryl Pepsii Riley and her band will perform.

Tickets are free, and refreshments will be served. Learn more & register here:
